ANNETTE MAGNUSSON

Annette’s background is in leadership, innovation and policy advocacy. She was Secretary General of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) between 2010 and 2021 and has more than 20 years’ experience of international law, including from global law firms. She is the founder of the crowdsourcing initiative Stockholm Treaty Lab, which seeks to use international law to promote green investments, and was shortlisted for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Award in 2017.

 

Annette is a frequent speaker on arbitration and climate change, and has been listed as a Thought Leader and Global Leader in Who’s Who Legal, and “a thought leader and global star” by Global Arbitration Review. Annette also accepts appointments to sit as an arbitrator.

ANDRINA KJELLGREN

Andrina's background is in research, international development and project management. Her experience includes advising investors on renewable energy law, advising World Health Organization on human rights integration in health programme and managing large conferences on climate change. At the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in 2014-19, she conducted research on the interplay between international law and environmental protection and managed the crowdsourcing initiative Stockholm Treaty Lab.

Andrina holds an LLM in Environmental Law from Stockholm University and LLM in American Legal System from University of Minnesota where she conducted research projects on climate law. She is the Chief Operating Officer for a Swedish non-profit IT for Children with operations in Ghana.

ANJA IPP

Anja is a US-trained lawyer with experience in international dispute resolution, development aid and communications. Between 2010 and 2020, she was an associate in the global disputes practice at Jones Day in New York and served as legal counsel at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Before becoming a lawyer, Anja spent six years as a writer and editor at policy-oriented think tanks in Kabul and Washington, D.C. Her diverse experience ranges from managing investor-state disputes in the energy sector to drafting policy papers on natural resource management in Afghanistan.

 

Anja holds a JD from Columbia University in New York, where she was a member of the Environmental Law Clinic. She also earned an LLM in International Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam and served as a summer clerk at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Anja serves on the board of the non-profit Swedish Association for Responsible Consumption and is a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher.

JILLIAN KIRN

Jillian is a U.S.-licensed environmental and energy attorney. For the past several years, she has worked as a partner at a large international law firm, regularly counseling clients on the development and implementation of sustainability, ESG, and environmental, health, and safety management programs. Her wide-ranging experience includes large-scale renewable energy projects, resolution of legacy liabilities at industrial sites, climate change and extreme weather event preparedness and response, as well as complex environmental litigation. She has also worked at the International Court of Environmental Arbitration and Conciliation, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. 

 

Jillian holds a J.D. from Columbia University. She is a frequent speaker on environmental law and policy matters, and was recently named one of the top five U.S. environmental lawyers under 40 by Law360. She also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Bartram’s Garden, North America’s oldest surviving botanic garden.
